The Xiamen Overseas Exchanges Association (XOEA) is a non-profit association tasked with communicating and cooperating with overseas Chinese, Hong Kong and Macao residents, and relevant associations.
The association is located on the 7th floor of the Tuanjie Building on Bailuzhou Road. It falls under the leadership of the Overseas Chinese Affairs of Xiamen Municipal Government and local civil affairs bureau.
Main tasks of the XOEA include:
1 - Conducting frequent communications and exchanges with overseas Chinese, Hong Kong and Macao residents, and relevant organizations
2 - Providing overseas Chinese and Hong Kong and Macao residents with a series of services, including those related to economic and trade cooperation, academic study and visits, travelling and visiting relatives, academic exchanges, healthcare services, consultations and agencies.
3 - Promoting mutual exchanges and cooperation related to the economy, science and technology, education, culture, healthcare and sports.
The newly appointed director of the Xiamen office of Korea Trade-investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), Jung Sung-hwa, visited the Chinese city's Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office Aug 8.
The 2018 Xiamen Taiwan Teenagers Camp took place in the city on the coast of the Chinese mainland on July 14 with the aim of reinforcing the understanding of traditional Chinese culture.
