With the development of the Xiamen Special Economic Zone, XMFESCO has provided personnel services for more than 10,000 employees from governmental organizations, foreign enterprises, resident representative offices of foreign enterprises in Xiamen, state-owned enterprises, joint-stock enterprises, private enterprises and individually-owned businesses.
Overseas Chinese News, founded in June, 1956, is a weekly newspaper serving overseas Chinese in more than 80 countries, and residents of Hong Kong, Macao,Taiwan and south Fujian province.
The center serves as a link between enterprises in Xiamen invested by overseas Chinese and local government departments.
Established in April 1984, the association falls under the direction of the Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Xiamen Municipal Government and receives guidance from the Chinese and Fujian provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.
